About Chris Harwood

Harwood Build Studio exists because remodels deserve the same discipline as any other serious project: a plan, a budget, a schedule and someone accountable for all three.

Chris spent about 20 years in project and program management, leading large, complex programs. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Alongside that career, he and his wife, Erin, have bought and remodeled four of their own homes in Austin, from North Austin to Tarrytown, Barton Creek and now Westlake. They have also built one luxury vacation rental from the ground up and fully renovated another, and have owned and improved several multifamily properties since 2003. Chris has also managed projects out of state, in New Mexico and Utah.

Harwood Build Studio brings those two halves together: real construction experience on Austin homes, run with the habits of a professional project manager. Weekly reports, written change orders and a schedule you can actually see.
