How a remodel runs

The same seven steps on every project, so you always know what happens next and what we need from you.

  1. Walkthrough and goals

We meet at the house, look at what’s there and talk about what you want it to become, how you live, and the budget you have in mind.

  2. Scope and budget

You get a written scope and a line-item budget, with allowances for selections and a contingency for what older homes hide.

  3. Design and selections

We coordinate with your designer or architect, or bring one in, and lock selections early so orders don’t hold up the schedule.

  4. Schedule and permits

Every phase, order date and inspection goes on the schedule. We pull the permits the work requires.

  5. Construction

We manage the trades, deliveries and inspections. Changes are priced and approved by you in writing before they happen.

  6. Weekly reports

Every week: where the schedule stands, the budget against what’s been spent, and any decision we need from you.

  7. Walkthrough and closeout

We walk the finished space together, close every punch-list item, and hand over warranties and manuals.
